⌒..⌒ My current fave on my iPhone..
Tiny Thief is fun point-and-click adventure/stealth game by Rovio. The visuals are well placed, the art style is appealing and each level is carefully crafted with surprises! The comic artworks which appear before each level is also a treat by itself.
In short, this game is refined and it looks like the animators had a lot of fun with it too!
I think the unsuspecting little details-from gameplay to animation and sound design-added in the game is already well worth the USD2.99.
Oh, don’t forget to turn on the sound while playing. I don’t know about you, but somehow my level of thievery is dependant on that.
Good read. Get up and do something about it this 2013.
of quirky things, pretty stuff, rhythm, adventure, surprises, challenge, giggling fits, etc.
Thus, one of the many things I’d get excited over is a lovely game (on my iPhone).
Casual games get me hooked; the ‘addiction’ usually occurs in short bursts which require not much commitment. I also game-hop quite a fair bit. As long as it remains challenging, i’d play level after level (until the end of an update) and immerse myself in its gorgeous graphics, engaging game music and addictive simple-to-grasp game play.
My favourite indie iPhone game so far has been Gesundheit!!
You control the green pig to stealthily lure the fat bean-like monsters (with its mucus/snot) out of sight so that it can collect as many starfruits as you can before getting the monsters trapped.
The hand-drawn graphics are amazing. The original game soundtrack fits extremely well too and the animation works.
What’s there not to love? It’s soooo cute that I made the people i love watch the gameplay trailer over and over again and made it my responsibility to download it into their iPhone (with my account, blehhh).
Another of my likes would be World of Goo. Play it on an iPad and use headphones if you can. It’ll be such a beautiful experience, I promise.
The soundtracks are SO dramatic and what’s more inspiring is that they are written by the game designer/illustrator himself! Such talent..
It will be out 3 days later on the 20th December 2012. Hope it’s good!
This is the month of rainy December! It is also the month to give, to dream, to search, to find, to start, to end, to sleep, to eat, to realise, to believe, to trust.
And above all, to have fun and not lose hope~
Pet, not pest!
a mini compilation from my sketchbook.
I did this last year while I was ‘in transition’. It was for Yifei’s game which was supposed to be called Jay Walk or something along the line. So here’s an upload to not forget this jay-walking blue Jay!!
My name card, hand-made with love. Hahaa.
This name card was made because I’ll be attending Siggraph Asia and as I was frantically trying to design one for print on Monday, I spotted a brown piece of paper at the corner of my desk - a random piece of doodle with some cloud characters on it!
Since i probably won’t be able to get it printed and collected by wednesday without a solid design on Tuesday, i decided to hand-make my own. Well, at least it would be something fun to remember (I hope).
I printed out on a textured 150gsm cream coloured paper and sprayed fixative over it just so that it won’t smudge under our sweaty fingers.. Next I sprayed adhesive and pasted them onto polka dotted 150gsm paper.. So all in all, it’s a 300gsm paper name card, if it works this way. :P
Oh well, good for me! With every card I’ve become more patient and zen.
Back from Taiwan!! Even though I fell ill on the 3rd day due to pre-trip exhaustion (and the gorging of the ever-so-delicious food), I did manage to have a great time and I can’t wait to go back there again!!
Time to re-charge and anticipate the start of another new chapter in my life. Will post up more pictures or GIFs soon~
Slow motion videos are generally therapeutic to watch. If not, they’d be super awesome references anyway!
You know, I subconsciously held my breath for soooo long as I watched this video.
This new 4k-capable action cam is crazy!! You’ve got to love it.
Just a while back I was showing my animation senior, Pangren, some tools that are useful for our workflow in the hope that the company would purchase it for us.
Guess what! He came back with one of the scripts.. ‘home-made’ with love!
This tool is to help animators prevent feet sliding when we do walk/run/whatever cycles. It’s simple to use and yay, no more re-takes for feet slides!
This is my August entry for Greyscalegorilla’s “Command-Z” Five Second Project!! I didn’t make it to the top list but I hope some people would still have liked it~
The bulk of this project was done during my 4 days post-wisdom-tooth-surgery sick leave and I’m so happy I had pulled it through! I’m also really thankful that my programmer/rigger friend, Yifei, helped me rig the characters within a realllllly short time.
..and here’s the planning!
